Probably you have wondered sometimes, how scientist and engineers make new inventions every year and almost every month? Well the truth is that they normally follow some simple rules in the ways of the inventions.
The Criteria of Inventions
1- Helping humankind
The first one will be to create something to help humankind to solve an issue or problem they probably have, in other words, give a solution that so far nobody has done.
This is the biggest motivation for any person who call themselves an inventor, since solving a problem is the general idea to actually make the invention useful.
In the past, creations like cars, ships, planes and trains where the new solution for transport that today are pretty common and help to transport both, people, animals and cargos. They make the time needed to reach one place to another more easy and comfortable.
2- Updating technologies
The other criteria is to make better or upgrade something that already exist, technology is a constant evolution of devices and machines that already do a job or a particular task.
But even those can have a new way to be used or with time, become obsolete since there are new ways and creations that now do that particular job and more easily for most people.
But also, these creations could be the new way or invention could have another benefit like the cost or knowledge needed for the task.
Energy sources are a good example for this, since before the amount of gas and oil needed to make a machine work properly was way more than today’s standards, and the electricity needed to keep it running.
