Few scientists from the Shahid Chamran University made an important discovery regarding this. They discovered a new technology of piezoelectric harvester (PEH) for nano-sized devices.

Their report discusses the impact of the small-sized dimensions. They also discussed nonlinear vibration and PEH voltage harvesting technique. If a mechanical stress is applied to piezoelectric materials, then they are able to produce electricity.

Stress due to vibration or other mechanical forces

This kind of technique is used in many devices. Devices like cell phones, ultrasonic transducers use this technology.

To create Piezoelectric Harvester, scientists have applied vibration induced stress upon piezoelectric crystals. The main advantage of this PEH is that they can be used in a device of any size no matter how small.

With the help of all these, they have derived a nonlinear equation of motion. Also, with the help of this, they found a way to increase the amount of voltage generation.

If the voltage is greater, then the amplitude of vibration is also greater. As a result of this, the overall generation of energy will also increase.

Researchers have also discussed the necessity of the use of the piezoelectric system. Micro and nano-sized systems or devices need them for their proper functioning.

Without the piezoelectric system, they are not much useful. The reason behind this is piezoelectric, crystals perform the same for every purpose. It acts as a governing agent.
